Same old stuff again,

Marching down the avenue,

10 more days and we'll be through,

and I won't have too look at you,

and you won't have to look at me.

That is right I fly home in 10 days but before now and then I have combative (tomorrow), CI inspection (Friday), OPO (Maybe, Saturday & Sunday), Outprossing (Next Week), and graduation (Friday the 20th).

It has been a long long time since I posted on Xanga I decided to post once more. I know I said that I was no longer going to post hear some time ago but well I have nothing better to do then post on Xanga right now. How things change over the years I think I have been on xanga for 3 years give or take a few months, back then I was in school now I am done with school, and in the Army reserves, I can't wait to get home in 3 weeks and 4 days, when training ends.

I have decided no longer to duel post now I will only be posting on my other blog so if you are inclined to read it pleas feel free to drop by I also have an RS Feed so you can subscribe to it in a way. I also have more control over the content layout etc. and there are no advertisements on it.

Pictures is now up and running on my website, if I emailed you a user name and password it is no longer valid because I could not find a way to import the users from the old version to the new one but that is something we will just have to live with for now.

Pictures not working

The pictures feature on my website is not working right now so don't be concerned if you get a 403 error, I don't know what is wrong but that is the only portion of my website that does not work right now. I can not access the administrative portion of my website either so I think it is my host that has some problems maybe it is with PHP that would be a logical explanation.

*edit*
I just found out I can not accsee my blog to creat new enteries either so it must be PHP that does not work or somthing like that.

The Future of Computers

What is the future of computers?
Will all collage students have laptops in 10 years?

Well first I will try to answer the first I would have to say that the future of computers is vary different from what many think, no we are entering a new era of computers one where the laptop will not be as important as it has become over the past few years. In this new era we will move away from programs like Microsoft Office to open source office programs the format of text documents, spreadsheets, presentation software, and most other software that we use will be stander similar to what html is for the internet. Because of this we will move away from programs that cost lots of money to get to open source programs, and there will be many to chose from but some will be everywhere (like Firefox among web browsers).

Now I will move to the second question that I asked the answer is no they will all have usb flash drives with a portable applet system on them (like PortableApps). Where they can go to any computer on campus and plug it in and have there programs and settings which will make the laptop an unnecessary expense which many collage students will avoid. It will also have he effect of clogging up the already crowded computer labs.
